evvideopoker| Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission: Quantum AI suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud

The Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission issued a notice on May 8 saying thatevvideopoker, warning the public to beware of an entity operating under the name "Quantum AI" suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud. Quantum AI claims to use its related artificial intelligence technology to provide cryptocurrency trading services. The China Securities Regulatory Commission suspects that Quantum AI uses deeply forged videos and photos made with artificial intelligence that impersonates Elon Musk on its website and social media to deceive the public into thinking that Musk is the developer of Quantum AI-related technology. The SFC also suspects that Quantum AI may have used a "news" website to disseminate false and misleading information about itself and promote its cryptocurrency trading services to the Hong Kong public.

At the request of the Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Police Force has taken action to block Quantum AI's website and remove relevant social media pages.

On May 8, 2024, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission also included the above website on the SFC's warning list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms.
